Ecological Life Transitions: finding refugees in our damaged world

As Michael Pollan says, eating is a political act. That is why cooking healthy and fair food for me, the producer, and the environment is a big part of my life.

Independent consultant as a project manager in the social sector, with emphasis on the following methodologies:

(1) building theories of change and social impact strategies;
(2) social innovation processes and/or service design with methodologies such as Design Thinking and Theory U;
(3) qualitative research for project development.

Amani's mission is to develop next-generation talent to address social challenges. It developed a higher education model that offers an intensive experience of cross-boundary work and develops practical skills to build a professional toolkit. At the same time, it considers the personal journey social work requires to be effective and sustainable over time. All this while simultaneously reducing the traditionally high cost of top-class global education.

I have managed the Post Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation Management in São Paulo for two years, and in 2019 I piloted parts of Amani's methodology in a calling project around Brazil and Latin America.

Gastromotiva is the first social organization in Brazil to harness the power of food to create social inclusion and build bridges between different realities.
I was responsible for the organization's main international projects - my challenges were planning Gastromotiva's international expansion and piloting consultancies on Social Gastronomy and education around the world. My last achievement was opening the first Gastromotiva office outside Brazil, in Mexico City. I was responsible for the start-up of the project - from planning to legal opening, fundraising, recruitment, and project implementation.
Before that, I've been responsible for the founder's agenda, writing his speeches, and organizing all of Gastromotiva's main fundraising events.

Matueté is a high-end travel agency in Brazil. It operates amazing and exclusive trips in Brazil and the world. I was responsible to put together a travel plan for each client coming to Brazil, with all important contact and logistic information, daily activities, further readings, and suggestions for each destination. The greatest outcome was to learn about Brazil and start traveling around my own country.

I was part of the first internship program at Google Brasil. As a recruitment intern, I sourced candidates for the different positions in all LatAm countries where Google was present at the time - Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. It had always been a dream to work at Google, and thanks to my good grades in University and my previous experience with recruitment, I got the opportunity.

It was my first real job - where I’ve built professional skills I carry until today - responsibility, commitment, excellence, adaptation, and speed.

I spent my first year as a recruitment intern at the Latin American desk - which used to be a pilot business unit from Michael Page in charge of all recruitment projects for the Andean Countries, Central America, and the Caribbean. My fast development brought me a promotion in my first year to become a trainee. I was responsible for projects in different business areas, in all of those countries - from engineers in Guatemala to HR Directors in Bolivia. I was responsible for aligning candidate profiles with clients, sourcing and interviewing candidates, preparing shortlists, and presenting them to the clients.
